Log in time out?

Post by Abnett on Fri Apr 10, 2009 2:20 am

Just out of interest and maybe saving server traffic/time therefore freeing up access to this forum.

I'm using firefox, and clear cookies and history etc everytime i close the browser. However, I seem to permanently be logged in to this forum whereas other forums i'm a member of i need to log-in everytime due to the clear cookies and history function i run. This should effectively log me out of here automatically but appears to not be the case. If anyone else is not having to log in each time they come to the forum this could be using server time of sorts. Is it possible for the moderators to set a logged in time limit at all? I'm guessing those browsing the forum won't really be logged in for more than a couple of hours at most?
Security wise this is a concern for me as anyone using my pc could spam the forums using my log-in as it's in my favourites (not that i'd let it happen but it is a possibility).

Just a thought.............

Hi Mate

Thanks for the head's up - I'll have a chat with Davey who might be able to sort something out.

I'm not techy enough to sort that kind of thing :-)
