if i remember rightly ive heard of these failing before, the plastic split and went into the guys eye,not so super safe me thinks,my helmets made from an american football helmet and shoulder pads combined its very similar to the bulletman helmets and it will take a full on preempt the only issue is its size
with any helmet id test it on a bob dummy or something first try it full force so you know its not going to fail, and id highly recomend a neck brace combination as well
cheers

ive not bought many myself,i tend to make them to suit, there seems to be a good choice on eBay not to pricey maybe along the lines of this
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Red-Neck-Brace-for-Karting-Rallying-Bangers-Racing_W0QQitemZ200344610462QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_Cars_Parts_Vehicles_Other_Vehicle_Parts_Accessories_ET?hash=item2ea578269e&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14#ebayphotohosting
you might have to tweak it slightly with a bit of duck tape and foam to suit the headgear,
have fun

I think you should also consider the effects o hitting to the head full contact . even under a protective state the long term effects are not benificial..

its hard to get the balance right. safest thing would be to use bullet man suit but how many street attackers have a head that big. seems to unrealistic and the red man cant move fast like a real attacker, like a robot

what i see in the bullet man suit is the ability to test what you've trained under pressure, and you can turn the heat right up,getting used to the effects of adrenaline and stress and its honesty, ive seen lots of people do something totally different to what they've trained when put in the fight, that comes down to bad training or having a totally different idea to what happens in a real fight, testing your self against a fully resistant attacker and being allowed to go full is always a good thing
big padded suits are never going to give you everything, but i just make the most of what it gives, film everything and study it alter your training if needed and test it again
but like peter says full head impact is never a good thing particularly as you get older
cheers

as far as i can tell you have to become an instructor with fast defence to have the true bullet man helmet,i made my own version i can give you some basic tips if you want to make your own, but it really is trial and error,i tried 7 or 8 different coverings foam etc and making sure the neck is well braced
and dont just try it full on the first attempt, take things slowly with whatever you try
heres a link to fast defence

Im sure Dik can give you some more info he's a bulletman and the guy to speak to....oh and a member here
