After my recent Red Flag Day with Mo Teague I took back the new drills and concepts to see how they sat with CCMA:

More fascinating progress with the self-coaching method in the junior class and the seniors faced the return of the infamous scramble drill!

The story continues with the juniors revising a variety of subjects, including the fence and the seniors facing a new and improved "Tunnel of Death"!

Re: CCMA's first public diary entry
The junior class did some functional martial arts movement exercises last night and then focused on their clinch/stand-up grappling work. The seniors looked at layering techniques and reinforcing principles. I have included a list of exercises to train certain movement/principles as a solo exercise, as an exercise with a compliant partner and as a pressure test plus work with resistance bands etc. Low on photos at the moment, but hope to correct this very soon!

Re: CCMA's first public diary entry
We focused on takedowns and discussed the concept of the order of training. This latter point related to "learning from the fight". Should sparring always be scheduled for the end of a lesson?

It looks like this thread has been hacked. There is an ad link replacing one of your words, Al. The same thing happens earlier in this thread. Funnily enough I don't see it on the thread as I am replying.

The story continues... I have included some notes on the "self-teaching" approach and also some YouTube links to specific grappling techniques: http://www.clubbchimera.com/?p=483
