Major. Josh Siddiqui

Post by Mick Tully on Fri Jun 20, 2008 12:39 am

hi guys,
i have just recieved an email from a really good friend of myself and Al's

some of you may already know Sid if not trust me you will over the course of the next year.

well anyway Sid's been deployed to the Helmand Province in Afghanistan in his role as an army doctor

i would just like to ask you all whatever you stance on this conflict is to take a moment out and maybe send some good intentions over his way

Sid's not only an awesome martial artist but is truly one of the nicest men you could ever wish to meet

Sid is responsible for myself and Al being introduced to Terry Barnett and myself in particular have so much to be thankfull to him for!

so here's wishing him a safe tour and that he returns back to us in his own inimitable over analysing questioning way

thanks for your time

Sorry this is so late; I meant to post it over the weekend. I have met Sid a couple of times and he was truly lovely to me, so nice to talk with and encouraging.

He has been in my thoughts and in my prays and will continue to do so until he returns to safer shores.

hi everyone
thanks for all your kind words
i passed them all on to sid
i had call from sid on weds 25 and he's all good
he was attached to the paras who have taken some heavy casualties
but he's now back at base..and half way through his tour!
he told me his chinook took 7 rounds in the fuselage and a RPG passed
less than 10 metres from him while he was in the air!
puts my thai pad drills into perspective!!!
anyway thanks for the good thoughts

Mick, please pass on my regards to Sid when you next speak - He's a top bloke and hope to have him return safe and well as soon as.

We actually took our Black belts under Bob Breen together, crikey......6 years ago now!

All best wishes SID!!!
