There's a freeware player called VLC Media Player which I've found to play anything and everything so far, that might help Peter.

it says it wont play because my pc does not have the correct codecs.????? but it plays fine on my video but thta plays dvds,vcds,and anyother kind of files??

im coverting them now they work fine now.
