Hey Guys,

Why not add an Instant Messaging section to the forum?

That way people can chat directly and possible create more threads via the discussions they have.

Just a thought, seen it on other MMA websites that have forums and I.M.

as far as i know, the closest we can have to instant messaging is via the chatroom on the bottom of the main page.
unfortunately we are limited by the functionality of the board we use, as it is a free public board.

Good idea Adam, why not create a SDF forum group on Facebook that way you can still IM when on F.B & also great advertising etc.
SDF can be the first M.A/ S.P forum to have a facebook group on F.B, havent heard of it done before.

well Nick, when i get some time, and when i can be bothered to deal with all the problems i'll have with setting it up, im eventually gonna try to make a facebook app which contains this forum. from what i'v read, i think it can be done, but i havent fully researched it yet, so fingers crossed!
dont really think an FB group would work, because it would involve everyone posting in 2 places, as it would be a seperate entity. as far as i know, you cant tie the 2 together.

hey Rick, nah i was thinking of a basic group page for this forum SDF, with a link to this forum etc, what your discribing above sound to difficult to do mate,
