Interesting Case Study for "Self Defence"

Jury Ordered Not To Convict

The recent case of a woman who stabbed her boyfriend through the eye and into his brain with her stiletto heel, who has now been let off in court based on grounds of self defence and the lack of evidence to prove that she acted in any way other than self defence.

Might be a useful case study for those teaching topics on Law in their Self Protection courses

I wonder what the outcome would be if the MAN had badly harmed the woman in self defence?

The man would have been convicted and locked up!! no question about that,

Is it right for a man to hit a woman in self-defence? some might say no (what about if she's a mma fighter?),you only have to look how many refuges/shelters have been set up for battered men in recent years which shows just how violent some women can be towards their partners.

Because of the way the law is in this country men are scared to defend themselves from a female physical attack

I like this sort of info being passed on. I think there should be a topic for information on things like this. Also confrontations people have been involved in and what emotional state they was in at the time, and how they coped and the out come etc etc. go through the pre fight, fight, and post fight.

Makes people understand the reality and that even the toughest blokes feel fear in a confrontation
