The All-Styles Martial Arts Association Empty The All-Styles Martial Arts Association

Post by Dave Turton Fri Jul 30, 2010 9:46 am

Just to announce that my organisation the Self-Defence Federation (SDF) has now expanded into a genuine multi-styles body known as: The All-Styles Martial Arts Association.
This is a nationwide organisation which will incorporate the SDF as one of its many divisions.
Some very top names and very high graded martial artists are already members
We are very excited about this new organisation and the incredible facilities offered to its members

    Thank You

    Looks good Dave

What's the overall aim of the organisation?
Is it going to be similar to the BCA and act as a governing body to all styles of martial arts?

Do you have any ASMAA seminars planned?

    Good luck with the venture

    Thanks Al

We are NOT nor ever will be a 'governing' body, as I totally believe in no politics and freedom
However the SDF (by default) is already a multi styles body, but no-one really sees it that way, we are viewed as just self-defence not all martial arts
We have some incredible talent ranging from 9th Dans down in most arts, who we simply havent used to their full potentials

The SDF in fact has really come as far as it can, we have all the facilites in place for the SDF to perform its function as a self-defence/self-protection organisation.

with ASMAA, incorporating the SDF we have EVERY known style of martial art represented and will be working towards bringing people together without the 'sugar mountain' egotistical approach some (almost dictorship) organisations seem to be.
You know the thing Al .. "you cant train with them", "thats not our stuff" etc etc.. ad nauseum.

we are devising Coaching Awards for every style, so that there wil be some form of documentary proof that a person can TEACH and not just perform.
We will be providing workshops' all over the UK in MMA refereeing and judging, we will be bringing martial artists together and NOT keeping everyone segregated and so on

We already have several 7th, 8th & 9th Dans in most styles, and names like Trevor Roberts, Jamie O'Keefe and so on as members.

watch this space mate, this is going to be a renaissance in UK martial Arts

OOPS sorry Al, that has ended up like a blood AD.. my apologies mate
