That was an awsome day, great instructors and great guys to spar with, the only shame is that there isn't another one soon Wink
Looking forward to the next Masterclass with Geoff next Sunday, hoping to see Al and Peter there as well.
As a long time away from training and... I will lay odds on being the oldest there.... these are my animal days as Al says in his latest blog.
I am looking for training partners in the Liverpool/Manchester area if anyone is reading this, I think there is another part of the forum to post that request as well.
This is a geat community and I feel priveleged to be part of it.

Just to add my little bit

Thanks to absolutely everyone involved - instructors, admin team, attendees and the venue staff.

I had a great time, it's nice to hear so many other people did too.

There will definitely be more like this in the very near future - perhaps with more time for each instructor???

Thanks Kaarl for filming - I think I have your pads and gloves - please drop me a line so we can arrange their return to their rightful owner Smile

Thanks again all - it was a great day

    Respect

It was a great day! Well done to all involved!! Very well structured and organised too. However i have a small request for future seminars (involving pad work) - would it be possible to incorporated a quick "methodology" for how to use the pads properly from the pad mans' perspective, i.e. how to hold them properly and how to interact with your partner.
I trained with about 5 different guys who have never done any training before and i found the pad work was a little more challenging than needed because the pads weren't right. I helped the guys out but thought it may be something to bare in mind for the future.

    Hi Stuart

Kaarl kindly filmed alot of the day, as well as training in the sessions, so a big thank you to Kaarl.

Between Kaarl and myself we are looking at putting something together that we can share with everyone.

Kaarl is going to do some initial editting and then I will aim to get it put together, produced and advertised.
Price to be agreed with the instructors, but I'm sure it will be as reasonably priced as the seminar itself.

The seminar was a great demonstration of how top martial artists from all backgrounds can get together, work alongside each other and deliver a first class seminar on the theme of Self Protection, in the truest spirit of martial arts.

The DVD will be a reflection of this and a great momento of the day.

Rest assured, this was the first of many seminars.

Thanks for the hard work to set the course up ladies and gents...took away some good things to practice and as ever met a good bunch of people! My forearm is black & blue now though thanks to Eddie...but it was sadistically enjoyable getting it that way!!

I’m off to buy some bags of rice at lunchtime so I can use FFMA’s warm-up drill with the lads. How long should I cook it for Tony? ;0)

Looking forward to seeing the DVD guys.

Well done to all the guys who organised the seminar, it was a fantastic experience, one which I shall never forget.

So many big names under one roof and only for a tenner! A big thanks to the instructors as well as the organisers. It was well worth the 2hr drive.

Not only were the physical techniques spot on but also the philosophy.

Cheers Davey for partnering up with me.

    Take care all,
    God bless,
    Gursh

I too thoroughly enjoyed the day, made all the more enjoyable by Mr Mischief, Bob Spour!! Our students were buzzing all the way home. With respect to Abnetts question re the pad coaching - this is a subject close to Tony and my hearts and we will certainly include an aspect of that in the next one....if we are asked back of course!

Big thanks to Adolph, I mean Al, for the mountain of work he did and to the other helpers who made a massive contribution but expected no thanks.

    Regards

    Alan Mac.
