you would say is on the very cutting edge in the self defence world today.

What is the self defence system you consider to be at the very forefront of self defence.

thats a really hard question man.

i like the following instructors approach in terms of RBSD itself (based on what i have seen, and info gathered, bearing in mind im yet to train with these guys)

Bob Spour: hard hitting, simple, incredibly effective.
Lee Morisson: great concepts covering all aspects. especially like the state training and cycling methods etc.
Al Peasland: top of the game in pre-fight concepts imo. took what geoff did, applied what he learned himself, and taught from a new perspective.

IMO, if these guys teamed up and sat down to create the ultimate self defence syllabus, it would be extremely hard to match any time soon, and would absolutely be at the forefront of self defence systems/concepts.

yeah thats hard there cant be one...lol

i train in Richard Dimitri's stuff and he is a good friend, its something that suits me. i also like what Richard Grannon does and have a couple of his dvds and use some of his stuff, most of the guys on here i would like to meet and train with at least once. another guy i have trained with a long time ago and think is fantastic is Steve Morris. the guy never seems to age and his mind is a national treasure.

too many to mention really. if we put them all in a melting pot and got one bloke out we would have it sussed, they all bring something great to the table Cool i dont know many people actually now that follow the teachings of one person...i guess thats the essence of MMA and where its going.

I would echo what Cobra-Kai has said and Mick Coup (founder of Core Combatives) stuff is fantastic, his delivery of the material is great also.

Simple, effective, and with a method to back up what he is saying!

yeah, i like the boiling down of techniques and tactics in short hit him in the head until the situation changes. also all the lads who i respect in this field may differ on a few points but mainly have interchangable approachs.

It was Geoff Thompson who got me interested and into Self Protection some 13 odd years ago; I am now very interested in Dave Turtons material and training and looking forward to get some training (hopefully) with him this year
