Yesterday i spent the day in Loughborough at peter skillens new gym,its always good to train with new people and after his kind offer how could i refuse....with peters back ground in self defence/kickboxing,i knew i would be throwing a kick or two and doing some stuff that was new but i really enjoyed it,its always good to test new waters, and try unfamiliar things from weapons to kicks were my legs would never reach pale
Peter was looking pretty sharp, its clear to me that hes put some serious time in,since i started training the one thing ive always been without was a good long term training partner its a shame we don’t live nearer because he would be seeing a lot more of me

Got to say I'm aching a bit today(wait till tomorrow) and yes peter particularly the bits you repeatedly hit with knuckles/elbows etc and i think the leg will be with me a while yet thanks for that Wink

Training in bare feet was new to me as well,in fact the toe nail i ripped off saved me from hunger on the last leg of the train journey home glad i kept it affraid

I think sometimes people keep clear of others just because they have different preferences, when their losing out on new training experiences and growing more,i even had a go at punching and peter did a few slaps mainly on my face, hopfully i changed his opinion slightly on the openhand
Later in the day i got to meet john skillen and with the extra chilli sauce tour as well how could i go wrong

I just want to say thanks alot to peter for putting up with me for the day

    cheers
    karl

ps ive already started using some ideas you gave me with my students

Was a great day and Kaarl is welcome anytime we only scratched the surface but still had some fun...I am always open to new training theory and practical and physical drills as i think everyone should be. If anyone wants to meet up and train i am always willing...Thanks for your visit Kaarl and you are always welcome.
