NO . a French Curl works TRICEPS due to the extension of the forearms.

Start by holding the bar on your chest lying across a bench. the elbows are shoulder width apart and pointing UP. take the arms back to behind the head WITHOUT MOVING (i.e.straightening) the arms at all, they stay in the bent position all the way throughthe exercise as best you can.
Suck IN on the way out and down and pull strongly breathing out on the way back up...

    hope that helps

go get the p90x program (google it)
its the best workout i know of/ever did.
just adjust it to what you want ie:
more weight + less reps = muscle mass and fitness.
less weight + more reps = toning. endurance, and fitness.
and all you need for it is a pull up bar, a chair, and some dumbells Very Happy

loads of people say that mate, but what people dont realise is, yo uneed those calories. you dont have to give up anything. just cut down on certain things, and make sure your diet as a whole is balanced every day. the odd pizza wont do no harm. 5 a day might lol!
