Here's yet another example of our great british law coming to the aid of a potential victim!!

    Re: Munir Hussein

Having read the article, i can appreciate his mindset following this attack on both himself and his family. But was this self defence gone too far? Was the intention to stop and detain the robber(s)? Was reasonable force used?

As harrowing an ordeal it may have been, once free to help his family he enlisted the help of others to chase down and beat the intruder severely with various weapons, even once incapacitated.

This is way beyond reasonable force.

This level of response was not a man attempting to protect his family, but seeking out retribution,
and even if he had attacked the intruders inside the home, would the law have justified the level of his actions? Of course, the answer is NO.

Please do not mistake me, I am a firm believer in NECESSARY force, whatever it takes to protect yourself and your loved ones.

A moment of madness maybe, but definitely not Self Defence.

My guess is that Mylene is being a little creative about what the policeman said to her. If she had committed a crime wouldn't they have arrested her? I've read about her before being rude and aggressive to Derren Brown for daring to suggest that Derek Acorah can't actully talk to the dead...... so she may well be a bourbon short of a full biscuit tin.
