I like this one, not sure where i got it from but very it's so true.
"Why attack a wolf when there are so many sheep?" motto of the Predator

Re: Favourite Taglines
Hi Alan,
My favourite tagline has been printed on one of my training t-shirts - it says "the older I get the faster I was"
I also remember my early days training with Geoff in Coventry in the early 1980's as we often sparred together and I was the owner of his left lead roundhouse on many occasions - and I used to say to him "sorry for getting my head in the way of your foot you OK mate" - it always mate him laugh and gave me a few seconds to get out of range.
Keep up the good work things will go great for you
Regards,
Tony. T

Re: Favourite Taglines
This one was from the late and great Mr Charles Nelson...
He preformed a technique on a big guy who walked in to his school and was out to test him ( a silly thing to do!!) Anyway, he knocked the guy on his butt...the guy got back up and asked Mr Nelson to do it again, and he replied "It only has to work once....!)

Re: Favourite Taglines
Hi Tony,
Thanks for that mate.
Godai, you've just reminded me of one that I heard along time ago.
I can't remember where this happened ow who with but I believe it was a similar instance where an instructor had been challenged.
One of them lost (can't remember which one - too many bangs on the head as a boy)
He then got up and said
"The floor was slippery"
to which the other guy replied
"We shared the same floor"

Re: Favourite Taglines
i think you are referring to the legendary William Cheung/Emin Bozteppe
"fight"!
William Cheung stated he was and i quote "the world's premier streetfighter"
Emin was however a lot younger and well schooled in turkish wrestling
oh....and the floor was rather slippy!

That's those Turkish Wrestlers for you!
If they're not wrestling they're pulling your arms out of their sockets in the name of "massage"
Or did I just dream that

One that popped in my head while teaching the other week, was

Just when it's getting really tough remember;
Pain is temporary - Regret is forever
My fave of all time is on Spike Milligan's gravestone. "I told you I was ill"

Re: Favourite Taglines
One that always makes me laugh.
Winston Churchill is at the Aster's house for dinner. Lady Aster cannot stand him and says"Sir, if you were my husband I'd poison you". Quick as a flash Churchill replied,"Madam, if you were my wife, I'd drink it"!
Not very relevant but funny all the same.
