BJJ in Coventry anyone??

Hiya

Popped over to the total martial arts academy tonight to take a look at the BJJ they had there, only to find out they dont do it anymore

Anyone know if theres any other BJJ clubs in Coventry?

Sorry mate Don't personally know of anyone as i live in Scotland, however one of my friends has been training with some BJJ guys in Coventry. his name is Tony Somers who you can contact through the red corner boxing gym and I'm sure he'd be more than happy to put you on to them. However if you only want to learn some ground fighting and not strictly BJJ then Al Peasland's the man to see.

i think your best bet is Braulio Estima's in Acocks Green for pure Bjj
I think that there is also 2 nights a week over at Nuneaton
Myself i go to Paul Kelly's in halesowen and train with Victor Estima

Yer I looked into Braulio Estima's and it looks real good but I was looking for something closer so I might have a look into the Nuneaton one.

Not nearly enough at the moment!
Try to get in 4 sessions a week not including teaching x

Acocks Green isn't that far from Coventry & is definitley worth travelling to. Braulio & his younger brother Victor are world class & also bring over other brown & black belts from Brasil to teach. You'll also have quality training partners as Gracie Barra Birmingham has probably the most blue, purple & brown belts in the country. www.graciebarrabirmingham.com

Richard Green (blue belt under John Will) teaches high guard MMA style boxing, MMA & BJJ in Coventry. Rich is also a qualified JKD/Kali/Silat instructor.

There is also the Coventry Judo Club, although not BJJ, they do more newaza than most other Judo clubs. You'll also learn the transition between standing & ground fighting. Neil Adams (world famous for his newaza) still visits the club for seminars & its where Geoff Thompson trained. www.coventryjudo.co.uk

Hi 8 Limbs Muay Thai Martial Arts Academy in Coventry City Centre run classes in BJJ 3 x a week. Monday, Wednesday 6.30pm & Saturday 2pm. Classes are just £5 a lesson for 1 hour.
