Best of the best rules for me also.
but also love China O' Brien

Could be because I had a crush on good old Cynthia, esp kicking ass in those skin tight jeans. Shocked

Cheesy I know, but I still really like 'The Last Dragon'.

If you've not seen it - do yourself a favour.

The Karate Kid movies got me into the martial arts. This was in the late eighties so the Kung Fu boom was 10 years old & it wasn't until I started training that I heard of Bruce Lee.

Star Wars - A New Hope. - Still a fantastic film! This was the film that got me into M.A, that and enter the dragon.

    More recently Ong Bak.

Gotta love the cheesy Jackie Chan stuff too.

there is a second one with Tony Jaa called The warrior king.
Even more action in that, a bit of parkour style on it and a lot of Muay Boran, joint breaks and massive steroid freaks at the end.

Apart from the "Dragon" series by good ole Brucie baby

One I remember as a young martial artist was Nico.

I thought it was great at the time - I obviously know better now, but at least he was a Cop in that one and not a chef :-)

My favourite though is Tombstone - not alot of fighting in it but the underlying message and the entire Wyatt Earp story is inspirational.
If you want to hear about courage and down right guts in the face of overwhelming adversaries - have a delve into his story ;-)

Why Doc - you're so drunk, you'l be seeing 2 of me

"Well - i hve two guns - one for each of ya"

    cheers

    beautiful

my best bit has to be the scene where Wyatt fights the cowboys across the stream and Doc explains to the guys why he is helping Wyatt when he is so poorly himself

    "Wyatt is my friend"

    The other guy replies

"Hell - I got lots of friends"

    And Doc replies

    "I don't"

    Gets me everytime Laughing

Reminds me a little of my life to be honest - hence the mention on this thread Wink

But watch the documentaries on Wyatt Earp's life - one of the only real wild west gun slingers to have made it through to the 20th century.
The fact that he wasn't a fast draw or a particularly talented fighter but he faced down everyone and took on any challenge is the impressive bit. Shows just what attitude and courage is all about.
This guy made himself infamous because he simply refused to give in to anyone and faced whatever was put in front of him. Never backed down or turned away.

That's a true martial artist - if you ask me Wink
