If you could do ONE thing that was absolutely guaranteed not to fail - what would it be?

Perhaps look at it from the other perspective.

Get out and train with the worlds best and you may just become rich as a result!
Cos then everyone will want to train with you!

    Nice thought Al,

For me personally, and you can only speak personally from what has worked and indeed does work.

I am qualified to teach self defence etc, but only saw it as a hobby growing up. then went out, went to college, got loads of qualifications. only to be told half the time " your over qualified for this position im sorry ". NOW, if I was the employer I would value having someone on board with initiative, and being able to do a job which makes the company shine as a result of him knowing what he was doing. I spend years working in an offce. doing all the office stuff, and dare I say it, earning a damn good living.

I met Jayne, and told her what I had always wanted to do and she told me to go get it, in fact jayne booked my first class with geoff without me knowing , and it struck me, yes im going to have to work hard. make contacts and friends in the industry which I love, but now have some great friends in the MA world. Al, Geoff, Mick, Peter, Noel. these guys are ones I looked up to and thought I would never be around.

guess what, I got off my backside, and decided to go out and do it. not for the cash, or prestige, but to do what I love to do. I accept people have full time jobs, we all have bills and families to look out for. but nothing is beyond your reach.

I am on a journey, and blessed to be guided by such great friends, and a loving family.

dont just sit around and write about what you would love to do and who you know and where you want to be. make writing your ideas down part of a plan. tick the ideas off and get out there and see what it is like for yourself.

    Go get it

    Craig
    cheers

I agree on that one mate, the money is nice it just takes second place. All money gives you is the ability to make more choices. The ability to train with the best is good enough. This is a dilemma i face i wanna teach again big time and i want to be successful and pay my bills. The trouble is i am in a well paid job at the mo and i worked my poodles pink bits off to get here. Its running the two together that is hard and having the cohoonas to step over and actualy do it for real. And talking about training any further news on the sunday sessions. Cant wait to spend some time with you and the tully monster Very Happy
Oh and the other problem i have is i dont think i am good enough yet i suppose its human to see what we cannot do and not look at what we can do. I still need more experience and thats what makes me hungry to learn more. But as always i remain philisophical on this when the time is right it will happen Smile

still costs money to go train with the best mate. sure, im saving up, but a lotto win would make it all the easier. and it would buy me a nice house for me and the wife to settle and bring up kids etc.
not impossible to achieve, just easier and faster with a win lol. thats more what i was getting at.

BASEJUMPING............the adrenaline rush must be immense. Knowing that the second you jump you could possibly be living the last few seconds of your life in the 'chute fails. Sounds sadistic i know but i love the feeling a good adrenaline rush gives me. clown
