What is your training performance criteria do you set for establishing your preference for a technique? This can be from both a teaching perspective or a personal one.

Re: Performance Criteria
If I can make a technique work when I'm knackerd I'm more inclined to beleive that the technique is one that'll work under the harsh condtions of a real encounter or even when ambushed. One of the ways I like to test my techniques is with a non compliant partner after I've done a minute or so of all out strikng drills on the pads or heavy bag. So it is a really high intenstiy, anaerobic drill. When I'm close to totally spent I find that a technique that is even a little too complicated starts to look flaky and unrealistic ... it usually forces you to go back to the drawing board and make it more simple, gross motor control and\or impactive.
Good question Jamie .. I'm interested in seeing what criteria others use.
