    What are people's opinions regarding the 52 Blocks system of boxing?

    By no way an expert opinion,but from the little I've seen on the net.I can see elements of both kali ,silat and even muay thai and kung fu.With limb destruction playing a major role an e.g. being the skull and cross bones which is similar to the wedge and salute movement in muay thai or the vertical gunting done with an elbow from kali.
    What is interesting ,is the connection with prison fighting, hip hop and break dancing how true this is I dont know .There is a dvd called Ghetto boxing by Diallo Frazier.

    There's an old article from Black Belt magazine online somewhere (or maybe Combat) which has Mel Gibson doing some 52 Hand Block stuff as he 'learnt' this for Lethal Weapon film.
