hi Saint-Soldier
if it goes physical then striking hard is a very important part of what’s needed, and in my opinion it should be at the core of anybody’s response, the key to real power generation is practice, practice and more practice, start slowly focus on power and the speed will come through familiarity and repetition a good heavy/hard bag will stop you making mistakes and guide you in the right direction, and help you to condition your knuckles it also forces good form don’t waste your time on a soft bag,
try to stay as relaxed as you can, tensing up and using strength slows down the shot, focus your anger on the impact and blast it out on contact by using an explosive breath(short sharp and fast) this tenses up the core and produce's a faster more explosive strike
try to step in the direction your striking first, and remember to move your whole body in the direction that your hand is hitting, making sure your hand is the last thing to go(think of a discus thrower were they put their body in first)
throwing your head in the direction will move the body faster, especially with higher shots, I’ve studied a lot of power hitters and there’s a few that stand out to and have helped me to move forward in my power generation, Dennis Jones and Steve Morris and mike Tyson do a search on YouTube and study/mimic their movements
Just remember whatever advice you get it’s only you that can get you to that point that you want to be at and it’s all about practice
cheers
