Only decent firearm disarms and weapon retention system and technique are the
Not being there variety.....guro inosanto and rick faye have some great training material and obviously so has bob spour but I personally use them more for line familiarisation and spatial awareness.....then again I'm a plasterer and its my hobby....if i'd faced what bobs had to then i'd have a different perspective

You could try the Russian special forces called 'Spetsnaz' as they are the ones who this instructional clip was designed for, failing that you could always give 'Specsavers' a call as i hear they do have an offer-buy two pairs of shades and get a third pair free of charge! Laughing

Any type of gun defence has me frowning. For a while back in the day i was fortunate enough to receive instruction from a serving member of a german special forces thing. And we did cover this with everything geared at moving the line 3 or 4 inches either way from the centre of mass. Also we were told to probably expect to get shot but it shouldnt be in a place thats fatal. So i went out and bought an airsoft replica gun and trained it. Each and everytime i got shot either before or just on entry. Now there training was geared at close protection so they have the luxury of armed back up etc.And there priority is to protect there assignment not protect themselves. On hindsight it wasnt the best training for what i wanted but it stopped me living in the dream world. As for knives i have told students in the past ' you cant stop me punching you in the head with my fist yet, forget about knife defence and train the 100m once a week thats more successful'. With a gun or knife any part of you is a target and its going to hurt alot when your hit. Not being there in the first place is the best thing to train. Or go out and get some of those groovy specs they seem to generate super human qualities. Come to think of it a hairy chest, medallion, faded blue denim bell bottoms and a mark 1 capri would also fit the profile. Then you could find some cardboard boxes to drive through and practice ninja rolls across the bonnet Laughing
