6 Month apprentice Syllabus for ‘Ultimate Self Protection’ No Doubt No Fear Masterclass 2008
Hosted by Bob Spour and Richard Yeoman this is the first Course of it’s kind in which Bob Spour combines his Self Protection expertise and his status as Trainer in NLP to produce the Ultimate Self Protection Masterclass. Each month Bob and his associate Richard will take the student through the techniques and principles of effective self protection using his 42 years of experience ranging from time with the Special forces to the present day training of Bodyguards, doormen and the general public. Each month the student is challenged and tested for their Attitude and then the physical attributes.
We have invited a Senior Consultant Anaesthetist and a serving police officer from the Met to talk on both the medical implications, self administered first aid (if you are injured) and the position of the Law in respect to Self Protection during the course.
I think this may be a first in Self Protection Training...
By the end of the course you will have a greater understanding of yourself and your abilities. You will be able to generate an ‘attitude’ that will both protect you and enhance your life in every area.
Apprentices who show real ability and excellence in attitude will also be ‘invited’ to take part in the Instructors programme. This is by invitation only as we wish to maintain a very high standard within the group. I am not creating another organisation! We are a group of like- minded individuals who are sick of the politics and rhetoric that surrounds Self Protection.

Awareness Training and Introduction to The OODA Loop ( Observation, Orientation, Decisions and Action)
Targets and Natural weapons: Forget pressure points just know the few areas that we can target to gain the maximum advantage.
The Line Up/Default Setting: Preparing yourself for Combat, setting the mind.
Open Hand techniques: The open hand and its multitude of uses.
Elbows: Getting the cutting edge at extreme close range.
The Attitude Test: How do you see yourself? What’s your inner dialogue trying to say? Why do you feel like that?

August 3rd
Intro to NLP No Doubt No Fear Model: Model the attitude of Winners. It’s not enough to simply ‘survive’ an attack.
Creating State Change: Understanding Belief systems and creating new ones. How do submodalities work?
Controlling Space and Closing the Gap (Intro to Combat Clinchwork): Control the head and you control the man; psychologically and physically.
Hands/Elbows/Clinchwork: Putting them to work in a scenario based environment.

Sept 7th
Generating the ‘Attitude’ through Self Hypnosis: Attitude is key. When you have doubts you will have fear and will be unable to function at your optimum level.
Takedowns/Groundwork: IF it goes to the ground there are one or two things you will need to get back on your feet. This is not a lesson in teaching you to grapple. Leave that in the ring!
Building Awesome Confidence: Using all previously practiced techniques this session culminates in you demonstrating Attitude on the pads and bags in a controlled environment.

October 5th
Motivational Tools/Anchoring/Triggers: Just how do you trigger positive and confident states? This session shows you how you can trigger any states and how you also trigger negative ones!
Blunt Weapons: Using both short sticks(Kubotans, Pens and anything small and cylindrical)
Sticks: You picked up a pool cue now what do you do?
FUNCTIONAL NLP ONE SUPPLIED
November 2nd
Edged Weapons: Protection against and use of. Knives, broken bottles and anything sharp is going to cut you and could even kill you. Here we look at protecting ourselves and if you pick oneup the principles behind using them correctly.
FUNCTIONAL NLP TWO PROVIDED
December 7th
Handguns: How to safely defend against one and how to use one should you get your hands n it!
Testing Phase: Psychometric tests and physical tests. Let’s see how far you get.
FUNCTIONAL NLP THREE PROVIDED
ECH MONTH THE STUDENT RECEIVES BOTH DVD’S AND NOTES WHICH BUILD INTO A MASSIVE RESOURCE THAT THEY CAN USE AS BOTH AN AIDE MEMOIRE AND A MEMENTO.
Each month will conclude with basic testing of both understanding of mindset and physical skills. Each student is assessed during and at the end of each training day.
Level One Apprentice costs £79 per month
Level Two: £99
