Hi Everyone
Just a bit about my background:
In 1973 I started Kyokushinkai karate. Around 1977 I opened a karate club (2nd kyu Brown Belt). I received my Kyokushinkai Black Belt in 1980. Like a lot of martial artists during the seventies and eighties, I took lessons in Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido and Kung fu (Hard and soft) and had also boxed for a local ABA club.
I started working as a bouncer around 1980 and have just recently retired from the door in 2006. Around 1981 I stopped practising karate per se but continued to train…I am a certified Wu Tai Chi teacher and a reality based martial artists (is that a style?). I have taught at Seni on two occasions (2007/08) and from 2003 to early 2008 wrote with Steve Rowe the Martial Arts Illustrated column ‘Samurai on the Door’.
I am looking forward to some interesting conversations.
Kind regards
Dennis Jones
PS my age is a secret but I'm old...
