A friend sent me this link to a news article about a woman who cannot feel fear
She is lacking the important part of her brain that processes dangers and threats and triggers the fear emotion - the Amygdala
I'd read about animals having this part of their brain removed and the resulting lack of fear - but apparently it's the first known case in humans.
