I'm liking the Wu Tang Clan at the mo.
Not usually one for hip hop but they've definitely got an aggressive sound. Cool

Depends what you are doing. Stretching or cooling down can have calm music like Last of the mohicans. sparring and working the pads upbeat music.

everybody was kungfu fighting, just kidding :-) on the other hand it can take you into a state wherein you see your training as fun.

Set you free by ntrance, we trained on that in Liverpool and whenever I hear tht music I want to do things.

Music can also get you into an aggressive state needed for aggressive scenariowork.

F*** you I won't do what you tell me...

As lots of filmmusic is used to accentuate the situation this is also good for getting into those states. As said before the Rocky music from the training scenes like Eye of the tiger, etc...

    Kind Regards,

Mr Tulley, you have good selection there. The only thing with dropkick murphy though is i find i usually end up wanting to do a jig as apposed to what i'm meant to. haha The style of music i choose to train to however reflects the kind of mood i'm in.
I.E. A bit of thrash metal or hard rock or even fast beat dance tracks if i'm focusing or have alot on my mind, or some nice chillout if i'm just doing a light session due to injuries.

If any of you have seen the film Blood Sport by Van Damme, I quite have the soundtrack disk, which I find gives me quite a lift down at the gym.

    Some already said but generally:
    Aerosmith
    Prodigy
    Rage Against The Machine....
    Guns n Roses
    Green Day
    Charlatans
    Creed
    Leftfield
    Kasabian

Mixed with a cool down of:
    Cold play
    Snow Patrol
    Morrissey
    David Gray
    Embrace

I think you get the idea! Anything dark and aggressive to train with and then anything kind of depressing to finish with!

    Rockers Rule. cheers

Also sound track from the Rocky films, a little cliched but if it works for The Balboa it works for me.

Alot of good stuff mentioned already though.
