Got Issue TWO Steve , thanks mate (read Issue ONE that someone else had).. interesting approach to the martial arts..

I would offer my meagre talents as a contributer, but I dont really think the mag would have the readership that would be intested in MY approach mate.. but I really do wish you well with it.. you are a genuine and dedicated person so you deserve success...

Will there be a regular 'calendar of whats on' slot?

thanks for the copy by the way....

martial arts mags have ranged from DIRE to EXCELLENT, the best ever in my opinion was Terry O'Neil's FAI.. the worst (for those of you old enough to remember them) was either 'Dragon or Kung Fu Monthly' total garbage

MAS looks to be a quality product with a reasonably fairly well defined target audience..

10 out of 10 for the forsight and bottle needed to go ahead with it mate.. I wish you all the best

Thanks Dave, probably not too clever to launch it at the beginning of a recession but we do have a lot of support. I'm going to be doing a regular monthly Tai Chi course at Pillage's Dojo in Coventry so any of you in the midlands and north that want to be interviewed or featured give me a call and we can meet up there.

There will be a calendar from issue 3 and at the moment we only have my stuff in it so if you have an event that you want entered, send it in to me.

Remember this mag is going out directly to over 15,000 martial arts students...

Good luck with the mag steve
Is the mag going to be sold at major outlets or through subscription?
There is a definite gap in the market at the moment, not everyone is looking for generic mma lifestyle or how to perform a jumping spinning back kick.Although if thats what floats anyones boat then fair play.
Ps whatever has happened to COMBAT? I remember what it was the must buy monthly, though i'm still buying it,it really stinks
what do you or the rest of the guys think?

Hi steve, I read issue one and i really like it. It has a personal touch you dont want to lose,an almost family style martial arts magazine that isnt stuck up it's own bottem.
I loved the idea of having a childrens section after all they are the future.

I like the features you have and i think the interviews/articles were extreamly well written.
I will buy this mag for my club because It is informative, respectfull and has a good cross section of styles and intrests and it has a positive outlook.

over all The mag is bright , well written informative and very positive.
    Well done steve

Thanks guys, the mag won't be on sale through the shops because it's distributed directly through the clubs and by subscription, there is a subscription page At http://www.martialartstandards.org/magazine and the mag website should be up in the next couple of weeks.
